NJORD Biennale 2016 offers a variety of lectures, artist talks, seminars, workshops and master classes.

We invite you to join the artists and us at the following events:


Lecture by JEAN-BAPTISTE BARRIÈRE

Multi media artist Jean-Baptiste Barrière talks about the interaction between music and pictures – both generally and in regards to his own artistic work.

MASTER CLASS with KAIJA SAARIAHO

Master Class with the prize-winning composer Kaija Saariaho.
Wednesday 27/1 from 13.30 to 15 / The Royal Danish Academy of Music
The Master Class with be held in English.


SEMINAR by JEAN-BAPTISTE BARRIÈRE

Jean-Baptiste Barrière hosts a seminar about working with music and video art based on his own work as an artist.

The seminar will be held in English.


PRE-CONCERT TALK with KAIJA SAARIAHO

Kaija Saariaho will discuss the Musical Drama La Passion de Simone.

The talk will be held in English.


Lecture by OVE FRANKEL

Lecture and discussion about the American abstract expressionist Mark Rothko and his work with colour tones.

POST-CONCERT TALK with NIELS ROSING-SCHOW and KAIJA SAARIAHO

After the concert of the evening the two composers Niels Rosing-Schow and Kaija Saariaho will talk about their work with music and tonal colours.

PRE-CONCERT TALK with KAIJA SAARIAHO and JEAN-BAPTISTE BARRIÈRE

Before the concert of the evening Kaija Saariaho and Jean-Baptiste Barrière will have an Artist Talk focusing on the meeting of music and visuals.

WORKSHOP FRYS with RAIJA MALKA, INGEBORG OKKELS and PATRICIO FRAILE

Workshop for school children in the Copenhagen region ages 10 -14 in the installation STILL LIFE.

NJORD BIENNALE

NJORD Biennale is Copenhagen's new nordic biennial for contemporary music and contemporary art. In various cross artistic projects, the relationship between the tonal colours of music and the colour tones of visual art are being examined through concerts, exhibits, a separate children´s programme, seminars and lectures.
