Hélène Navasse


Hélène Navasse (flute) has a precocious and rich career: appointed solo flutist in Ensemble Polychromie (F) at just 18, and later co-principal flutist at Aarhus Symphony Orchestra (DK). She has performed with prominent ensembles such as Musik Fabrik, Klangforum Wien, Nieuw Ensemble, Schoenberg Ensemble, Athelas and Reykjavik Chamber Orchestra. As a soloist she has performed both classical and contemporary concertos. Hélène Navasse holds master degrees from the Royal Danish Academy of Music and Amsterdam School of the Arts. She is prize-winner of several international competitions and an active international soloist and chamber musician with worldwide performances from USA to Japan and Iceland to Lebanon. Hélène is recognized as an innovative artist. Numerous works are dedicated to her.

Hélène Navasse has won several international competitions and has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician around the world - from the US to Japan and Iceland to Lebanon. Navasse has over the years worked with a number of the most prestigious European contemporary ensembles including Music Factory, Schönberg Ensemble, Asko Ensemble Klang Forum and Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen.

SUNDAY 31 AT NJORD New Nordic Music Biennale


NJORD Biennale is Copenhagen's new nordic biennial for contemporary music and contemporary art. In various cross artistic projects, the relationship between the tonal colours of music and the colour tones of visual art are being examined through concerts, exhibits, a separate children´s programme, seminars and lectures.
