ABOUT Njord - New Nordic Music Biennale

NJORD is Copenhagen´s innovative new biennale for new Nordic music, art and culture.
The very first NJORD Biennale takes place January 28th - February 1st 2016 in various venues in Copenhagen. Here the meeting between new music and art is put under microscope by a number of high-profile composers, musicians, and artists.

NJORD 2016 is built upon the artistic idea of a convergence between music and colour. A theme that proposes a cultural event of the senses, where the tonal colours of music and colour tones of visual art will saturate Copenhagen through concerts, exhibitions, seminars and lectures.
